By creating an account, accessing, or using LockedIn ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

02Account Registration & Security

To access the core study features of LockedIn, you must register for an account using a valid email address.

• Account Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information and verify your email address.
• Credential Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• Notification: You must promptly notify us if you suspect any unauthorized access or security breach involving your account.

03User Content & Ownership

You retain full intellectual property ownership of all notes, study materials, topics, and flashcards you create or upload to LockedIn ("User Content").

• License to Operate: By uploading or entering User Content, you grant LockedIn a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license solely to store, process, display, format, and synchronize your content to deliver the Service to you.
• Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not violate any third-party copyrights, academic integrity guidelines, or applicable laws.

04AI-Generated Content & Academic Disclaimer

LockedIn includes features that use artificial intelligence to automatically generate revision flashcards from your topic notes.

• Supplementary Aid: AI-generated flashcards are designed solely as a supplementary study aid to facilitate active recall.
• No Accuracy Guarantee: AI outputs may occasionally contain errors, misinterpretations, or factual inaccuracies. LockedIn does not guarantee the academic accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
• Student Verification: You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated flashcards against your authoritative course materials, textbooks, and instructor guidance prior to exams.

05Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you must not:

• Attempt to probe, scan, test the vulnerability of, or breach the security of any system or network.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or underlying algorithms from the Service.
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to overload our servers or circumvent rate limits.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or inappropriate/unlawful materials.
• Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Service for other learners.

06Service Availability & Modifications

We strive to maintain continuous availability of LockedIn. However, we may periodically update, enhance, modify, or temporarily pause features for maintenance without prior notice. We reserve the right to establish reasonable fair-use limits on storage, study sessions, or AI generation volume to ensure system health.

07Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACADEMIC SUCCESS.

08Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCKEDIN AND ITS CREATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, STUDY TIME, ACADEMIC STANDING, OR EXAM RESULTS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

09Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in repeated abuse, security violations, or fraudulent activity that compromises the platform.

10Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of LockedIn after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
